There are several moves coming up, and it is the team\u2019s responsibility to prepare the pastures, and ensure any maintenance is done in preparation for moves.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>MINUTES<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Board\u00a0Members Present:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 Wakean, Linda, Heather, Sally, Diane, Page and Anna<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Proposed Agenda\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Approved<\/li>\n<li><strong>Meeting Minutes\u00a0<\/strong>from last meeting were approved<\/li>\n<li><strong>Review Planning Grid<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Herd Move\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Heather will confirm that wormers are being ordered for herd move from PO Up<\/li>\n<li><strong>Feeding Schedule\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Heather will confirm Allison B. will manage this<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hay Ordering<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 David Curto will coordinate orders\n<ol>\n<li>Pasture Teams will manage tarping<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Membership Issues:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Interview \u2013 The board interviewed Anna Jergins as a potential associate member for Lisa and approved her.<\/li>\n<li>Open Spaces \u2013Eddie is working on filling the two open spaces<\/li>\n<li>Gary\/Trish are sharing a horse with Anna<\/li>\n<li>Rebeca Clyde \u2013 has resigned her membership<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>EBMUD<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Wakean and Michael did three mowings of thistle and hemlock this year<\/li>\n<li>EBMUD would like to mow scotch broom in old dairy \u2013 they will work with Erica on this<\/li>\n<li>Wakean is working on getting the bridge inspected\/labeled for load (currently it does not have appropriate signage which may prevent a fire truck from crossing it in an emergency)<\/li>\n<li>Grazing reports are completed and submitted to EBMUD<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Treasurer\u2019s Report<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Dues Payment \u2013 The treasurers are contacting members with outstanding dues<\/li>\n<li>Hay Payment \u2013 Thank you to everyone who paid for hay \u2013 we still need members who have not paid<\/li>\n<li>Diane\/Page are working on putting together a budget \u2013 will share in the next week or so<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Grazing rotation<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Confinement Plan \u2013 we are through the busiest time of year, and there seemed to be enough spaces for all. Thanks to Heather for being the coordinator of the shuffling.<\/li>\n<li>Herd Split \u2013 Herd is splitting to US and Pear \u2013 Please watch for emails and respond as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Facilities Issues<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Beer can paddock \u2013Wakean is waiting to hear from EBMUD what can be done to make this safe.<\/li>\n<li>Page will ask the US pasture committee to check and repair fences before the move.<\/li>\n<li>Linda will manage\/remind pasture teams to prepare pastures as needed in advance of moves.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Capital Improvements<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Ring Pasture \u2013 Linda is working to coordinate additional repairs. Thanks to those who jumped in and made some emergency fixes at the recent fencing party.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Projects<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Car port \u2013 the board approved Tanya\u2019s proposal for purchase of the car port. Based on its density\/construction it will either be used as a shelter in the back 40, or as a hay tent.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Chris Ellsworth Clinic<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>The board voted that during the clinic \u2013 the arena will be reserved for those attending the clinic. For safety purposes members should not turn their horse out dring the clinic.<\/li>\n<li>The board discussed visitors \u2013 everyone who attends this clinic must be a member. They can join as a temporary member the day of the clinic, but must complete the paperwork for this, and sign a liability waiver.
