Upper Pasture Charger & Fence Configuration

The charger next to the Pond/Middle Meadow gate serves the Forest Meadow, Middle Meadow, and part of the Pond  Pasture across from the Middle Meadow.

The main upper pasture charger – situated above the main spring, between the Sullivan and the Plateau – powers the Sullivan, the Plateau and the Pond pastures. The charge terminates where the Plateau/Pond fenceline enters the brush above the pond – the fence continues all the way to the Middle Meadow, but is not hot where it goes through the brush below the bluff above the pond. The crossfence that runs up the hill between the Plateau and Middle Meadow is powered by the Middle Meadow/Forest Meadow charger which is near the gate between the Pond & Middle Meadow.

Fencing Materials

The fence materials are organized in these categories – PLEASE KEEP THEM THIS WAY

USE EMPTY BUCKETS to collect what you need for your job, then return items to the storage containers in the designated places. It will help the next person who might be in a hurry to get a job done. It might be you!

ON THE PALLET BETWEEN RED BARN & WHITE SHED (across from Rubbermaid Shedlet in designated area):

  • Can for Electric Rope & Tape
  • Covered Bucket for Rope Insulators for fiberglass rods & t-posts
  • Can for Miscellaneous fence supplies – including wire, connectors, T-Post safety covers, barbed wire items, rod pounders, oval end insulators, ‘pigtails’ (RopeLinks). Most important to keep this well-organized because this is often our go-to can!!

IN THE RUBBERMAID SHEDLET:

  • T-post pounders

IN THE WHITE SHED:

  • Covered Bucket for Long (Extended) T-Post Claw Insulators
  • Covered Bucket for Wood Insulators, Pipe Corral Insulators, and Polywire Insulators of all kinds
  • Covered Bucket for Tape Insulators of all kinds
  • Covered Bucket for Gate parts & Cut-out Switches

DO NOT mix the containers for these basic categories. Use an empty bucket to pull the parts you need, and RE-SORT back into the original container when you are done.
