And maybe to suggest the quickest way out if they ask. EBMUD has increased security<br \/>\nconcerns since September 11th. Fines can be pretty steep depending whether the trespasser is charged with a misdemeanor or an infraction,\u00a0 and could be as much as $500. Most people will leave when told they aren\u2019t supposed to be there. If someone encounters a trespasser who isn\u2019t cooperative or is a repeat offender, they should call EBRPD at 510-881-1833 as soon as possible. This is the direct line to the dispatcher, who will send an officer to the scene. If a trespasser is acting strangely or exhibits any violent behavior, leave the area immediately and call the police from a safe location. A description of the individual, their clothing and their direction of travel can be very helpful.
